Learn about Road District Levy Issue #28

hamtwp

On November 5th, voters in unincorporated areas of Hamilton Township will have the opportunity to support a crucial initiative aimed at continuing the improvement of the safety and quality of residential roads. Township Trustees have proposed a tax levy dedicated to resurfacing and repairing roads in neighborhoods like Hamilton Meadows, Reese, and Shadeville.

This levy, set at 0.77 mill, will ensure essential infrastructure funding to continue the ongoing improvement efforts. If approved, it will cost residents $27 per $100,000 of the county auditor's appraised property value over the next five years.

The existing levy supporting road improvements expires at the end of this year, making the proposed levy the only available funding source for residential roads in unincorporated areas. Without it, future road repairs and resurfacing will be severely limited, potentially compromising road safety and maintenance.

The Township is urging residents to consider the importance of maintaining and enhancing road safety and quality. Supporting the levy means ensuring well-maintained roads, safer neighborhoods, and a stronger community.

Vote YES on Issue #28 this November 5th, and help Hamilton Township invest in safer, stronger residential roads for the future.
