HAMILTON TOWNSHIP

The township is governed by a three-member board of trustees. Trustees are elected to four-year terms during the November elections in odd-numbered years, with their terms beginning the following January 1st.
Two trustees are elected in the year after a presidential election, and one trustee is elected in the year before a presidential election.
In addition, the township has an elected fiscal officer. The fiscal officer also serves a four-year term. The election for this position is held in November of the year before a presidential election, and the term begins on April 1 of the following year.
