On the May 6, 2025 Primary Election ballot, Hamilton Township residents will have the opportunity to vote on Issue 18 - Hamilton Township Police Levy. Issue 18 is a RENEWAL of the current 3.75 mill levy that expires at the end of this year.​​

- Levy funds are used only for the purposes on the ballot and will go directly into continuing our community's police and safety services.

- This levy is voted on by unincorporated and incorporated residents of Hamilton Township.

- This renewal levy will NOT increase property taxes.
​
- For a household with a tax valuation of $100,000, this levy will remain $57 per year. That equates to approximately $4.75 per month or $0.16 per day.

What does a continued contract with the Franklin Country Sheriff's Office offer Hamilton Township?

Continue to provide 24/7 law enforcement coverage for Hamilton Township.

Ensure timely responses to all calls for service.

Provide police assistance to fire/EMS calls to minimize response times.

Utilize their familiarity with Hamilton Township—gained through years of dedicated service, with many deputies having extensive knowledge of the community.



What happens if this levy fails?

Hamilton Township will lose its current 24/7 dedicated law enforcement coverage from FCSO.

Deputies will only be in the area as required for calls.

There would be minimal law enforcement assistance on fire/EMS calls within a timely manner. ​​
